Football season is here again! Have you ever attended (or watched on television) a football game where the spectators were given colored cards to raise in above their heads at a given time, forming an image or slogan? If you’ve ever seen such an exhibition, it makes it easier to understand pixels and how they work on a computer screen.
A pixel (short for picture element) is simply an individual point of color on a digital image. Just like fans hold up colored cards in a stadium individual pixels light up on your display screen to form a patterned image.
