Embedding a YouTube clip on your C2C web site:
- Go to www.youtube.com
- Find the video that you want to embed on your site
- HTML embed code is to the left of the YouTube player
- Highlight the embed code and copy it (CTRL+C or rightclick COPY)
- Paste this code into NOTEPAD
In your C2C web site:
- Login as administrator
- Go to the page where the YouTube will be embedded
- Add and HTML / TEXT module to the page
- Set up the new module according to the 'Add New Module' tutorial
- Edit the content of the module
- When the text editor comes up click the 'Basic Text Box' radio button at the top of the editor
- You will notice that the Rich Text features are gone now
- Click on the 'Html' radio button at the bottom of the editor
- Now paste the embed code into the editor
- Save
Hints for selecting embed code from YouTube:
- There is a little cog to the right of the embed code window on YouTube
- Click on that cog and you will be presented with options to customize the code
- Select which options you like prior to copying the embed code, the code is modified according to the options select
- Note that the actual size of the screen on YouTube is the largest of the selections available, which will take up quite a bit of space on your web page.
